This wine is super inky in the glass. Blackberry, espresso beans, black pepper and gravely minerality. Full body and extremely well balanced, a long and lengthy finish. One word...Delicious!
This mountain vineyard that sits above the fog line overlooking the valley, it rests on almost entirely volcanic soils with excellent drainage. Significantly cooler than the valley floor, full sun all day and moderately cool nights help maintain acidity. The wines from this vineyard are of great balance, deep color, powerfully rich, velvety tannins, and excellent acidity for aging. The fruit is very characteristic of ripe cherry, blackberry, and currant.
